Integent is very excited to share three new features found in Project 2016:
- Resource engagements
- Multiple Timelines
- Tell me what you want to do…..
Resource engagements takes the resource plans from previous versions of PWA and enables Project Managers to view this information directly in Project Pro in the new Resource Plan view. Resource plan data will be converted to engagements when upgrading. Project Managers can create requests for resources from this view. Specify a generic resource or a named resource. The resource manager can even switch out the generic for the Project Manager. Status of the requests can be viewed by refreshing the page.
Resource Managers view these requests in the new Resource Requests page. Use the capacity planning heat map to easily identify what resources are over allocated and which are under allocated when making decisions.
Resource Managers can accept, reject or edit the engagement.
Resource Managers can also create a New Engagement which is visible to the Project Manger and automatically approved.
These new features will greatly improve communication between Project Managers and Resource Managers and help prevent and reduce over allocations.
