One of the biggest challenges for users new to Project 2016 will be learning the ribbon. As a trainer for Integent I am often asked in class where commands are located on the ribbon. I have been suggesting for years to add commands that you are always struggling to locate to the quick access toolbar located above the ribbon.
Microsoft has made it even easier for users to locate features in Project 2016.
Note the new Tell me what you want to do…feature next to the Format tab.
This is a text based field where you simply type in the feature you are trying to locate. In the screenshot below baseline was entered allowing me to quickly locate Set Baseline.
Clicking on Set Baseline will open the Set baseline dialog box allowing me to baseline my project. No more hunting around and trying to remember which ribbon this feature is located on.
Kudos to Microsoft for introducing this new feature which will improve ease of use for users new to Project and those upgrading from earlier versions!
