The Task Ribbon in Microsoft Project contains many useful and robust functions. Understanding how and when to use all these powerful features, however, is not always easily understood. In this Microsoft Project Training Quick Tip video we will guide you through many of the functions in order to provide you, the Microsoft Project user, the information you need to leverage these powerful features. We’ll cover items in the Schedule section, such as the progressing buttons that are used to set % Complete, as well as the indent and outdent buttons, which create summary and detail task relationships when building your work breakdown structure. We’ll also cover the link and unlink task buttons which are used to make or break task relationships. We’ll also cover the Properties section and look at the Information and Task Details button, and how they may be used to provide access to much needed detailed information at the click of a button.
