We just attended a recent conference in Boston. One of the highlights for me was listening to Arianna Huffington’s talk “From Politics to the Boardroom: Fearless Leadership”. Arianna is best known for being the President and Editor and Chief of The Huffington Post Media Group. She had some really insightful takeaways, a few of which I thought I would share with you. · Burnout is the disease of the 21st century, creativity and success do not come from a place of burnout and exhaustion. Get your sleep and find ways to recharge.
· We need to redefine success, if we want to be creative leaders. Fame, fortune and well-being define success. We need to define success for ourselves.
· We need to stop making short term decisions for long term problems.
· Life only makes sense when you look back on it. Live your life like everything is rigged in your favor. You will be much happier.
