An explanation of how Generic Resources factor in to Resource Analysis in Project Server:
When Generic Resources are used in a Resource Plan or Project Plan and that plan IS INCLUDED in the analysis, Project Server will count the generic requirements in its calculations.
When Generic Resources are assigned to a Project Plan that is NOT INCLUDED in the analysis, Project Server WILL NOT count the generic requirements in the overall calculation of resource availability.
Generic Resources are NOT COUNTED in the calculation of capacity.
