Funny how you can forget things when you’ve not done them in a while. I was working on building a virtual child domain, and when I connected one of the servers to the new child domain Symantec starting malfunctioning. I then remembered I needed to generate a new SID.
Great tool to use when working in a virtual environment and building networked servers. If you do not generate a new SID, upon joining the domain your computers will not operate properly. in WindowsSystem32sysprep, execute sysprep.exe and follow the screenshots below.
