How to bring cumulative data in OLAP cube

By default the cumulative data is not available in Project Server OLAP cube. These fields are required if you would like to show earned vs. burned hours. To add the cumulative fields in OLAP cube you need to create custom measures using below steps.

To add cumulative work field to existing OLAP Portfolio cube.

1. Login to PWA
2. Select Server settings >> Click on OLAP Database Management
3. Click on the cube name into which you would like to add cumulative field
4. Click on Configuration
5. Select “Virtual Portfolio Analyzer” cube from Calculated Measures
6. Type the measure name as “Cumulative Work” and MDX expression as SUM({NULL:[time]},[work])
7. Click on Save
8. Rebuild the OLAP cube
