Have you ever tried to retrieve an enterprise project schedule template only to see the message: “Sorry, we had trouble connecting to get to the templates and can’t show them right now”?
In my case, the cause was due to the save location for the personal templates being blank.
First, open the File Explorer and go to where the Custom Templates for Office are typically stored. Copy the address from here by right clicking and Copy Address.
Then, paste the address into the save templates: default personal template location and click OK. All set!
