Microsoft Project Online has many configuration options available to make the Microsoft PPM solution work seamlessly for your organization. One item often overlooked is the ability to create custom project detail pages. Do not let the word custom scare you. Creating project detail pages is actually fairly easy.
In this training video we will review how project detail pages are used. We will then look at a case in which we see the default project detail page adds custom fields in no particular order. We will take a look at what we would like our Microsoft Project Online project detail pages to look like. The remainder of the Microsoft Project Online Training video will be spent creating two (2) new project detail pages, adding the appropriate webparts, adding our custom fields to the project detail pages (and in the unique order we want them), then replacing our old project detail page with these new pages and demonstrating their functionality.
