Microsoft Project 2016 Training for Project Managers

Group Training | 2 Days

Get the essential skills needed to effectively use the powerful functionality of the Microsoft Project scheduling engine every day by attending our Microsoft Project 2016 Training for Project Managers. You’ll learn how to build and manage project schedules in an interactive environment, quickly mastering the best practices that will optimize your use of Microsoft Project 2016. Coursework will begin with an overview of the Project interface, then we’ll dive into the steps required to build and execute a successful project schedule: project definition, task, resource and assignment planning, schedule planning, and more.

Since this is the 2 day version of our Microsoft Project 2016 Training additional time will be spent covering advanced techniques, such as fine-tuning task scheduling and fine-tuning resource and assignment data. Both of which will provide more control over scheduling and assignments, the latter of which will look at manually contouring assignments and the use of material resources. Also covered will be fine-tuning the project plan to examine and resolve resource allocations and reviewing the plan’s cost and finish date. Finally, detailed techniques for tracking progress will be reviewed as well; including updating baselines, the tracking of actual and remaining work, and tracking timephased actual work for assignments.

This course is specifically designed to instruct you on the use of the technology, as well as best-practice schedule development.

After attending this Microsoft Project 2016 Training course, you’ll understand the processes of project scheduling and control, resource and task planning, project execution and be able to
