Excel with Power Query and Project Online

Overview

This four-hour course will teach students how to create robust, interactive reports using Excel, Power Query, and Microsoft Project Online.  Excel and OData are the primary out-of-the-box reporting capabilities for Microsoft Project Online.  This course will focus on utilizing Power Query, Excel's most powerful data transformation tool.  Power Query has incredible functionality and can create very sophisticated reports.  Power Query also has greater flexibility for optimization, leading to quicker refresh times.  And since Power Query is also used with PowerBI, you will be familiarizing yourself with that product as well! There will be both class lecture and plenty of hands-on exercises during this class.

Program  Managers, project managers, and any individuals that wants to be able to create and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Project Online, Excel and PowerQuery

Provided with the Course

Students are provided with copies of the slides used during the class, an exercise booklet, and access to a Microsoft Project Online environment as well as Excel 2016 for the duration of class and one full week thereafter.
